PLAYERS MUST CALL ACCURATELY INTENDED POCKETS FOR EACH BALL SUNK.
- Scratch on the Break is NOT an Automatic Loss. If a player pockets the cue ball when breaking, it is considered a foul. The rack continues with opposing player taking BALL IN HAND
- Scratch on the 8 Ball is NOT an Automatic Loss, as long as the 8 Ball remains on the table*. If a player pockets the cue ball when shooting on the 8 Ball, it is considered a foul and the rack continues with opposing player taking BALL IN HAND. If a player pockets the 8 Ball and Cue Ball simultaneously, then the rack is considered an automatically loss.
- Pocketing the 8 Ball on the Break Automatically Wins the Rack. If a player pockets the 8 Ball on the break, without committing any fouls, player automatically win the rack or game.
- Players must accurately call each shoot. Players must define each shot, including number of rails, splits, playing off balls and combinations.
- Players can not play off the 8-ball or opponents balls.
AUTOMATIC LOSS
The shooter loses if he
(a) pockets the eight ball and fouls.;
(b) pockets the eight ball before his group is cleared;
(c) pockets the eight ball in an uncalled pocket; or
(d) drives the eight ball off the table.
These do not apply to the break shot.
